memories

Webmaster, north bucks

This gig nearly didn’t happen after two members of the Gang of Four had taken a good hiding from some hooligans a few days before the gig. Certainly the physical marks were in evidence during their performance. That I do remember of them alongside the magnificent At Home He’s a Tourist which is timeless. In truth I think we had gone along to see Swell Maps who were starting to gain a bit of a cult following at my school with their Trip to Marineville album. They pulled out too after altercations with others. It was left for Aylesbury’s very own Stowaways to fill in at short notice. I seem to remember they weren’t for me. I do seem to remember that Epic Soundtracks from Swell Maps made it to come on with the Red Crayola
