The Groundhogs, 45 or so years into their career, turned in a blinder at
the 40th anniversary party and their Friars history goes back to Phase
One and were already one of the few acts to have already played all
three phases of Friars. Their place in Friars history is well noted. If
they hadn't drawn such a big sold out crowd in 1971, then Friars
Aylesbury would
not have continued pAst that point and a Groundhogs Friars gig in
Bedford in 1970 also saved the club. Two reasons to be grateful
