The Mandrakes have been awarded a
Friars Heroes Award to commemorate the fact they were the first ever
artist at Friars on June 2nd 1969. We were delighted that Paul Riordan
was able to make the 40th anniversary party on June 1st 2009 where he
collected the award.
Paul Riordan:
What have I done to deserve an award - Stayed
alive ? I would be very honoured to accept the award - on behalf of the
rest of the band - who are scattered around the world these days.
