memories
Colin Bass, in a playful
mood on his website (and at our asking) said in 2008:
What
a wonderful institution Friars at Aylesbury was. But as far as I can
remember - which may not be a great distance - I played there with the
Steve Hillage Band. Or did I? You tell me. Or not. Thanks for asking
though. I'll search for the site. I'm relieved to hear it's
practically official
press cuttings
what happened next
Hillage continued his solo career for a few
years and became well known as a record producer in the 1980s for the likes of
Simple Minds and It Bites amongst others. Hearing The Orb perform his Rainbow
Dome Musick inspired him and partner Miquette to form System 7 where they record
and perform still in 2013
