The McGarrigles were
still writing and performing
in the 21st century. Along the way,
they
received Canada's highest civilian award, the Order of Canada in 1994 and the
Governor-General's Lifetime Achievement award in 2004. They also collaborated
with the likes of Emmylou Harris and The Chieftains
Kate McGarrigle died in
January 2010
