what happened next
The majority of the band still tours and hit Europe in 2012 after a lengthy absence. Epstein died in 2003 and was replaced by original bassist Ron Blair

The Boomtown rats had their first hit Looking After Number One not long after this gig. They had some very good years including two number one singles before fizzling out in the mid 1980s. Their charismatic singer went onto receive a knighthood for his humanitarian efforts with Band Aid and Live Aid
