what happened next
Dolly Mixture went on to play Friars again in 1981 but had split by 1984. This incarnation of Dexy's largely became The Bureau who played Friars in 1981. Broadcasting legend Peel died in 2004. His place on radio will never be filled

Dexys with Rowland are a going concern again as at 2015

odds and trivia

Did you know that Dolly Mixture were Captain Sensible's band on his huge hit singles Happy Talk and Wot?

On Peel's next request show on Radio 1 after this gig, Friars was mentioned a lot as so many people thrust requests into his hands!
