what
happened next
The
Banshees went from strength to
strength and effortlessly sold out Friars in 1979/1980. The Banshees continued
in one form or another for another 20 odd years. During this time Sioux and
Budgie teamed up as The Creatures having hit records away from the Banshees. By
2008 Siouxsie was recording and touring as a solo artiste. Some of the punk
ethic clearly hasn't deserted her judging by a very hostile interview
for Uncut magazine in 2007
Spizz Energi are still going strong and
under this name scored the legendary indie classic "Where's Captain Kirk"
The Human League
by the time they came back to Friars in 1981 were going for world
domination. After two albums, Marsh and Ware went off to form Heaven 17. Oakey and Wright recruited Jo Callis from
the Rezillos, local musician Ian Burden and two girls they saw dancing in a
nightclub and never looked back. They are still releasing new records
and touring in 2012
