what happened next
Split Enz came back to Friars again in 1978 headlining and eventually morphed (with other musicians) into Crowded House who became enormous.

Quantum Jump went on to have a big hit with The Lone Ranger and had split later in the year thus abandoning their planned Friars headlining appearance
