what happened next
Johnson became a Blockhead for a while replacing the departed Chaz Jankel. The Wilko Johnson band carries on and features also today Norman Watt Roy of the Blockheads. He also performed gigs as part of the Mad Bad and Dangerous tour with a certain John Otway. They played an amazing set at Friars in May 2011. Johnson retired due to ill health in 2013 but made an astonishing comeback in 2014

Radio Stars sold out Friars a year later and still gig occasionally.
